Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve
Explore Tadoba, Maharashtra
Established in 1955, with an area of approx 625 sq. kms., Tadoba is Maharashtra's oldest & largest national park. The reserve gets its name from the local deity "Taru" or "Tadoba" and the Andhari river which flows through the forest.
Its said that at Tadoba, if you dont want to see a tiger, keep your eyes closed !! With a tiger count of 100+ tigers & a skewed gender ratio of tigers, tiger sighting chances are very high on a safari here.
But dont miss the enchanting landscape & fauna which is in plenty here. The lakes of Tadoba and Teliya also have a healthy population of Muggar crocodile.
